Good Morning Everyone,

What is everyone using for Purigen? I putting it into a AC 20 filter, and the 100 Ml bag is too big, and Seachem bag is also way too big.

Curious what is everyone is using for their Purigen?

I have it in my canister so I use the 100ml bag but you could put the Purigen in a clean, unused ladies stocking.
Do you think i could cut the 100 ML bag in half, and reseal with superglue?
I have a 100 ml bag in an Aquaclear 20, in between the sponge and ceramic

I wouldn't do that. Your going to have to recharge the purigen with bleach when it get's full, so it doesn't sound like a good idea.

Really? Some reason I can't get it to fit into my filter basket at all. Any advice?
can i just dump the puigen into my canister filter or do i need to bag them up? or can i just mix it with my media.

You will definitely need a bag to put it in a canister. Purigen is really small beads, and will filter thru most filter bags. If your using it in a canister, you can either buy the 100 mL, that comes in a bag already or buy "the bag" that seachem sells.

Purigen needs to be in a bag, regardless of what type of filter you are using. Yes you can use a nylon stocking; cut it down close to your final desired size and just fold it over. I have been doing it that way for years with no problems.
Good luck - that stuff is great.
