These are march of 2008... unplanted and of course a complete noob.. tank was a 29 gallon at this point
Within 2 months... it became planted
June of 2009- jumped to a 40 gallon, with some new inhabitants
still june of 2009.. got a few new angels... the one in the last pic on the left recently just passed.. had him for about a year and half.. i was a little distraught...

Not sure how that middle one got in there :)
September of this year.. upgraded once again to a 50 gallon.. and the current hardscape and some of the plants..also built my diy stand over the summer... big enough of course to hold something larger than previous
the previous month.. i lost both of my angels.. they were the best.. but 2 moves in a 3 months.. and then a new tank a month later was def too much stress... i then acquired the blue angels you see.. and they are amazing
the current set up.. new hardscape and some new plants

i love the status of my tank.. and want to thank all you knowledgeable people for making it happening.. and helping me out..

enjoy!
Wonderful progression!
Love your rock hardscape...those black rocks are beautiful...and a green carpet will enhanced them more...

Thanks Pri... thats exactly what i was hoping for.. on the left are chain swords.. the middle is the dwarf hair grass.. and on the right the baby tears..
I love your fish!! That's all I have - Angels and Bolivian Rams! :) I actually got about 22 small Rams because I had a pair spawn every few weeks and I managed to raise 22 fry. They're about a year old but not very big. I can't figure out if it's because I didn't raise them well enough or because they just grow that slow. They are about the size of an average guppy in length now, after about a year. I figured they'd be fully grown by now. Anyone know? (Sorry for the hijack!)

just a normal amazonian sword.. i had to get rid of them.. two of them were taking up nearly half of my 50 gallon!... they love co2
i had an amazon sword in a 10gal about a year ago...and the leaves went from nice oblate sphere shapes to something similar to a needle leaf java fern...i hated it so got ride of them (gave away or sold...dont remember)

It's 29 gallons. You might say it's overstocked, but it's also a jungle in there. I haven't had a single casualty in a year (knock on wood!). But, in a couple weeks they'll all be moving into my new 55 gal. I can't wait :)
