I have a 120 gal (4x2x2) tank that I am setting up for plants. I have a 4x2 T12 fixture with 4 40w T12 bulbs (6500k) and 6 spiral CF 100w bulbs (6500k). My lumen total for all 10 bulbs is 19,000. It really is blinding. I just cant afford the best lighting so this is my best try. Im sure what I save from buying an expensive fixture is what Ill spent for electric.

Anyone think I have enough lighting? I'm a big boy, please tell me if this is just stupid and a waste of time and electricity or if it may actually work out for me...

Are they really 100W bulbs or 100W "equivalent" bulbs!?

This would be considered a low light set-up, especially because of the depth.
24 inch depth would require more lighting to punch down to the bottom, if you
want low-growing foreground plants.

People may have issues but they can send you cash or better lights if they really care.

The depth of the tank is the only issue with your lighting.
When you replace your bulbs, try T8 daylight tubes. More light for less energy.

if you can afford $170 you could pull a 6x 54w T5HO bay light fixture that would fit perfectly on that 120g
