What's everyone doing in the Florida area to prepare their fish tanks for possible power outages?
I'm not in FL, but get some ice and a thermometer. Put it in water bottles, and keep them in a cooler. Add them to the tank and monitor the temperature. That is, if heat will be an issue.

Hopefully heat won't be too much of an issue. My tanks are kept at 78-80 degrees as it is. I'll have some distilled/pre-treated water prepared just in case anything happens though. I didn't think about the temp being an issue so thank you! Can cross another worst case scenario off the list.
Not a doggone thing. My tanks can go a few days with no power easy.
My tanks can go weeks without mechanical filtration, I once had a filter clogged for a month and didn't notice. It's the lighting.. the tanks that don't even get indirect light are worrisome, plants will fade and nothing to uptake waste, but a few days aren't a problem.

Don't really need to worry in a heavily planted.
