i just rescaped and added hemianthus micrantemoides(pearlweed)to my foreground,i bought six pots.the problems was i couldnt totally remove all the wool.i mean i finally got one out and there is nothing to plant(roots)is a little wool ok.thanks.
Also- the wool is just rockwool (Used in hydroponic gardening). It's Lava rock(I think it's Lava rock) melted down and spun like cotton candy. Generally, I get as much off as I can without hurting the roots, trim excess roots and put in tank.
well thats the problem, when i remove all of the wool there is really no roots on pearlweed,so i trimmed the wool down and broke it a little and planted.
thanks for the reply eklik.they were in there pots the first clump i tried to get all the wool off and there was barely and length to the roots so to plant them they dont stay in my substrate, they have 1/2 inch of broken wool on the bottom to plant them in the sub.i put them in last night and theyve been pearling all day.will a little wool be ok?the last guy didnt sound so sure.
