Hey guys,
I've been lurking on here for ages, but figured it's finally time to make a post. Does anyone in the Phoenix area know where I can get some pond snails? I recently set up a tank with dwarf puffers, and I'm having a hard time keeping them well fed. I recently purchased about 25 snails online, but they only lasted about a week or so before the puffers devoured all of them.
Most recently, I went to a Petco and just asked if they'd be willing to give me some of the ones from their tanks. They did, but the worker seemed really baffled why I would want them, she had also never heard of freshwater puffers.
Anyone have any suggestions? Or even some of your own you'd be willing to get rid of? I've considered setting up another tank just to use as a snail farm, but I'd like to avoid that option if possible. I recently sold off a lot of my tanks and I'm not really looking to starting another collection.
