I would say yes. However, the pond has a much higher volume of water than your aquarium. So, fert concentration is a real concern. You'll likely have to use a lot less of the fert when you dose your tank.
I use pond liquids in my large tanks and have to use quite a bit less and always mix the fert in my water change water, before putting it into my tanks. Not sure how the tablets would work, unless you were able to break them into very small pieces.
I use pond tabs in my tank and they work just the same as the ones made specifically for aquariums. Most of the pond tabs say to use 1 tab per 1 gal. of soil. I don't break mine up at all, I just place the whole tabs around the tank. The nutrients will get used up regardless if they are used in a tank or pond.
