I have been searching about the plecostomus and some people said too me that is good to have plecostomus in the aquarium because is going to eat the algae, but others said to me that having plecos in the aquarium can damage the plants.

Can some can help me? I have three small plecostomus i don´t know the species but are the ones that are all black.

They are a mixed blessing at best. You would be better off with shrimp or ottos along with snails.

Try looking at planetcatfish.com. They've got lots of great information about just about every species of catfish out there. You could also try taking a picture of your pleco and we could try to do a rough ID... but there's also a forum on the planetcatfish.com you may wanna check out.

Your plecs are very likely to be common plecs which can grow to 12 inches or more and are not suitable for small and planted tanks. Ancistrus species are fine and as long as you feed them veggies, they'll ignore your plants.
