I have a med sized common pleco in my 75gal community tank that suddenly this morning decided to try digging his way out of the tank. (There's no top, I'd rather he had just jumped out) I've had him for 7+ years and have never seen any digging before.

Wouldn't be an issue really except that I've got topsoil under my flourite... so now I have about 235 gallons of mud... :( (Tanks have combined plumbing)

Anyone want a free pleco? :D
Will deliver as far as S DFW, N Austin, or W Houston.

He's got a very large piece of driftwood trunk that he can get underneath. It's very cave like. Not sure what possessed him to dig after 7 years, but it seems to have been a temporary urge. I filled in with more flourite and he seems to have stopped, not that it's easy to tell when you can barely see in the tank. :icon_evil

I had added a dwarf lily next to where he was diging, perhaps it's roots were tasty or something?

New plant = new smell, good chance it contributed. I added some potted plants that had worms in them and my gold dojo's went nutz and made a mess getting them.
