My female bristlenose pleco is laying on her back. She is breathing and moves if anyone disturbs her but... what is going on? She is only 6 years old so it can't be age can it? She lets eggs regularly still.
No changes in water parameters or colony.

I just found other post saying that it is normal. She has never done this before but apparently this is common. If it is a warning sign of things please let me know. She has been healthy and laying eggs regularly (male is a great dad). I'd hate to have anything happen to her.

Just wanted to follow up on this post incase anyone else has this happen. The gal in the original post picture is still doing great. she breeds like crazy and still naps upside down.
I saw my Corey forage around near her belly and she quickly flipped and darted across the tank before circling back to chase the Corey. The next day, nap time on her back again. :)
