Is this normal for a Golden Nugget Pleco? :icon_eek:
That is a Fluval 305 filter head. What the picture doesn't show is how he is being thrashed around by the water flow. Sometimes he gets knocked off but swims his hardest to get back in there. :icon_lol: He doesn't do it all the time, and he seems happy so I'm not that worried, should i be?

You need to supply plecos with caves, they require them not only for breeding but to feel safe.
I have a cave under my huge piece of driftwood, a coconut cave, and a flowerpot on its side. He does usually hang out in the caves, but he does this when he comes out.

There also is usually some tasty algae and stuff in the filter output right there.

Gorgeous pleco by the way.
