Hey guys,

Firstly, anyone got a link on how to post actually pics on this site. I hate posting URLs?

Please can some ID these 2 plants, and advise how to trimp them? Also, when I purchased the plant in the second pic, it's leaves were a lovley purple/ red colour, now they are green- what could have cause this? Finally, second plant has small black dots on the older leaves- any ides what the casue could be??

First one looks like hygro sasiflora, second looks like maybe lobelia cardinalis. Hard to tell for certain on my crappy mobile dumbphone though

I think hygro angustifolia and a really big stem of lobelia. The change in color was probably a conversion from emersed to submersed.

The first one is probably this, Hygrophila corymbosa 'angustifolia':

Note that it is NOT the same thing as Hygrophila angustifolia, which is an entirely different species. The former has a corymbose inflorescence (basically like a candelabra) and the latter has sessile flowers (right up against the stem). H. angustifolia is grown by aquarists in Australia.

And yes, the second is Lobelia cardinalis.

At the bottom of the page when you post there's a tab that reads manage attachments, click that. Now look for Upload File from your Computer, click Browse.

Thanks guys.

Question re Lobelia cardinalis, mine is pretty big, around 15 inches i recon. any chance i could chop it into quaters and relpant? would that work?
