Sorry for messing up this post, still learning how to use this lol. Here's what was said originally.

Hi everyone, this is my first post on the forums and I'd like to start by introducing my tank and asking for critique.

It's a 55 gallon with 3 angels, 1 blue gourami, 3 SAE, 3 Black skirt tetras, 2 gold skirt tetras, and 4 neons (had more but most died)

Thanks for reading.

Also, can anyone identify this species of crypt for me? Thanks.

I'd move your big plants back and add some taller, skinner stuff to the foreground. Bacopa caroliniana or blyxa japonica, for example. You're going to want ground cover, too: rotala rotundifolia is my fave, but flame moss would work, too.

So use the Amazon swords as background, get some kind of stem plants/ferns in front of that, and some moss in the front? Or do you have any recommendations for a low tech carpet?

The swords, if they grow correctly will get massive so yes moving the towards the back is recommended. As far as low tech carpet plants go, I would try some dwarf sagitaria.

Thanks, I'll do that next time I can afford it.
