so on a few of my plants now i have found what i believe to be hair algae. should i cut the leaves with the algae off? or should i get something that would eat. its in my 5 gal with shrimps
Just remove some manually with a stick. The shrimp may also help to eradicate the problem. Also apply a siesta period. Just turn off the lights about 2-3 hours in the acternoon then resume. It will control the algae too if you add some snails. They love to graze on them. :3
