Hi All, decided to post this in the plant section to see if I have any luck here. Is there a database or just a list of aquarium hobby plants that use bicarbonate or hco3- as a carbon source that the video above is talking about? Not an aquatic botanist but curious if potassium bicarbonate could "fuel" a tank with such plants.

I geeked out and came across some research papers that seem to back up the video above. These papers, from my layman's understanding, mention some Anacharis species and Potamogeton crispus that can utilize bicarbonate. Again I don't have a degree in this field, but curious if anyone can chime in.



PS: The latter paper is where Potamogeton crispus is mention below figure 3.
