I just setup a small tank with ADA amazonia soil.

Most of the plants are melting. Especially blyxia japonica and crypts.

What have I done wrong ?

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Mine did the same thing, my exp what melted grew back much better looking!

Its because of the change in water params.

It's normal. Mine did the same thing when I first got the tank going. Give it a couple weeks and keep doing water changes and keeping stable conditions

So all your plants melted in the ADA soil ?

My tank is 2 weeks old.

FWIW, I've had some crypts just melt from looking at them the wrong way.
OK, that's an exaggeration, but they do melt when water parameters change, and from what I've read, and will experience, AS will change your parameters.

To tag along...I just switched to ADA AS too, and all my plants are melting! Cabomba, Ludwigia, Rotala, Crinum sp., even the Anubias sp. are all melting! What the!

2.5 WPG right now, EI dosing, pressurized CO2.

I just set up a tank with ADA AS and none of my plants have melted, except for the balansae. Like mentioned ealier I found out cryps do this.

Hm, crap. What am I doing wrong?

All my corkscrew vals are floating. The roots are still in the ADA AS, but they're just roots. It looks like a mess. lol.
