I just started up a new 10 gallon tank for my betta. I planted it about 2 weeks ago and it has been sitting cycling. I move plants from my main tank into here. My crypts are melting. My vals are melting. My java fern is turning brown and dying. How the heck did i kill a java fern?

What should i do? Will the crypts rebound? They are c. wendtii. Does java fern come back from turning brown. Tank is a standard 10gal with a biowheel 100 HOB, dirt tank with black diamond cap, and 2 5.5 inch home depot clamp lights with 13 watt 6500k cfls. No CO2, just some root tabs. Lights on 8 hours a day. Should i wait it out or are there other steps i should be taking?

It's most likely acclimating to the new environment.

I've had my crypts melt all the time when I move or add new to my tank. Usually after a week or so, they grow back. My java fern, I thought died once when all of it melted (so I thought). A few weeks later, I found a tiny sprout growing where it used to be tied to and slowly growing back.
