i found a big lake
there are tons of floating plant , guppy grass and hornwort in there
are najas and hornwort america native?
if i bring these plants home , is it anyway harmful for my fish?

Yea, I once brought some plants from a local lake into my fish tanks.....welcome hydra. They can definitely carry parasites, bacteria, etc. If you are going to incorporate them into your tanks, it is best to quarantine them for a week or two.

If it were me, I would also dip them with something like Potassium permanganate or even bleach.

that sounds scary
i already have these plants so theres no need to take that risk

another question,
what if somebody put a big tube on the yard
and raise some easy plant in there, and sell them online
(on aquabid , i know 2-3 ppl doing that)

can these plants be harmful too?
