do you have any fishes. And expect a major algae bloom if you use this
I don't have any fish but hope to add some in a week. Could I do a major water change before I add the fish and then add my fertilizers that are coming in?

Will this liquid fertilizers kill my plants though?

If this is OK I will add the Ironite plus in a couple of hours. I will check back for more suggestions.

Thanks!
You are off to a very bad start already. That is too much light if you are not dosing and injecting Co2. What you should do is leave the lawn fert for your lawn, reduce your lighting to half of what you have now and then maybe your plants will survive depending on their condition and the type of plants.

If you want us to really help you will have to give us more details about your setup too.
Don't do it.

Your soil + soilmaster will provide enough nutrients for the plants until you get your ferts. They take time to get established before they really start uptaking ferts anyhow. If you do ANYTHING for your tank, get your lights and CO2 in line first before putting in something like this - any benefit you *may* get from using that fertilizer will be offset by the huge algae bloom it causes.

Just got your plants Monday? Where'd you get them? Are you SURE they are aquatic plants? (Many pet stores sell plants that aren't).

Patience will serve you better at this point than anything you could add to the water (except maybe CO2).
I got the plants from ebay. As far as setup is concerned I have DIY c02 set up for the plants. So from the suggestions I should not add the ironite.

This is what I'll do:

Just let the plants settle in on my tank. Give them about 1.5 Watt per gallon and don't give them CO2. I'll wait for my fertilizers to come next week.

Does this sound good? Or should I do something different?

THANKS EVERYONE for the QUICK RESPoNSE
Just what you said - except DO give them CO2 - CO2 always helps and it can start to battle that algae that likes to pop up in brand new setups.

Still have the pictures from the ebay auction?
