Ok i am going to be turning my 54 gallon corner tank into a discus tank. I will be keeping the temperature at around 84 degress. What kind of plants do all of you discus owners use? Thanks and any recomendations or suggestions would be great. I will be using ada subsrate which will be delivered soon. I am going to have some harscape which will be manazita driftwood. Hopefully this will be a sucessful project.

Tank specs:

Ehiem 2215 filter
Coralife fixture 130 watts (2 65watt bulbs)
Ada subsrate

A question will you have them as babies growing to adults in this tank? if you are do you care if your discus are stunted?

My tank stays in the mid to upper 80's during the summer since I don't have A/C, the only plant that seemed to have a problem (and I can't be 100% it was the temp) was Blyxa aubertii. I have Marselia quadrafolia, couple different types of anubias, crypts and hygrophila, Alternanthera sp. "Sunset", Eustralis stellata, Lobelia cardinalis, Ammania gracilis, a red ozelot sword and Tonina belem. As long as you don't go into the 90's, I don't see a problem.
