Ohhh, nice! Thanks!
I am definitely going to buy those long forceps. Tongs are utterly useless.

K. I'm probably just buying that, and not the whole tool kit. It's $14.
Oh, and I'm saving doing new plants for water change days. I'll take the canopy off, drain some water..should be easier for me. I have to cram my upper body through the cabinet openings...you know what I look like...it takes an act of God to do that. haha
/\/\ LOL, I cant just picture that!!! LOL....Yeah the one thing is all I want...Ill pay ya of course for shipping and all...
All righty. I'll let you know.
Ooops I meant I CAN picture that!!!
I figured. ;-)

I use these they have a set of scissors as well as the grippers.its the best tool for general plant pruning as well as planting if you dont want to get your hands wet.
Damn it! Now he tells me. I think I'd rather have that than the forceps, and I literally just paid for two of them.

DOOOOOHHH!!
I have the forceps also and let me tell you they SUCK for planting.I wound up destroying so many blyxa roots it wasn't funny.
It is a cool item to have around tho it picks up dead fish nicely.
The scissor accessory is pretty much useless...
The tongs are so much better because they are curved at the tip and are very thin.

Ill sell you my old grip/scissor thing for 5 bucks if you want it then you tell me which is a better tool.
Hi Amanda,
I was just looking for the same - stainless steel planting tweezers with curved tips and a long stainless steel scissor. Were these the tweezers you are getting: http://cgi.ebay.com/Huge-Tweezer-Th...hZ002QQcategoryZ19327QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

Does anyone else have any recommendations for good planting tweezers and scissors at a reasonable price, especially scissors with large enough finger openings to accommodate gloves?
I'm looking for tools like the ADA tools (the large scissors and pincettes at about 13 inches long) but at cheaper prices:

Did you look at the rest of the stuff on that site?
They have a lot of sizes and different types.
Not exactly ADA but very good pieces none the less at a good price.

Damn it. I really need something to plant stuff with. I'm really short and I can't usually reach the bottom of the tank.

I was usually regular tongs from a grill/bbq accessory kit. They suck for that. They are teeth that dig into the plant, and you can't "let go" once you have it in the gravel. argh!
FWIW, I found 12" long SS tweezers at my local Ace hardware store for like $10.
