I found this interesting floating plant in a few of my tanks. I think it came in with either moss or shrimp (they came with a few sprigs of some random plants to cling to).
It appears it have a thin stem with “nodes” every 1-2cm. At the node are 2 ?roots with a very tiny leaf. Very thin stemmed plant or algae that I have no idea what it is. I think I posted a photo. This is my first attempt at posting a photo so hope it works. It is the long stemmed plant in the middle of the moss.

My first thought it was guppy grass but there seems to be oval leaves on the stem and if so, I'm not sure what it is.

I will watch to see if the leaves elongate. If they do then it could be guppy grass. I have never kept it before.

So after a lot of googling...found it by googling "Hitchhiker Plant" it appears to be Utricularia gibba. A lot of people seem to have a bad experience with it. Anyone with experience here?
