Plant trim?

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the great help,( D.C. and Rex) Much mahalo's. Going into 2nd month I think I need to start triming? Any ideas? Can I trim off the roots that are hanging out all over? Again Thanks again!

Clip off the runners where they connect to the main plant and then pull the whole plant up. Works great... If they get REALLY REALLY long and start going over the tops of you tanks and blocking all your light you can also clip the tops.
