a good resource for seeing what plants look like and brief info...

but...

just curious as to what is typically used for those things, im going for a dutchy look

im guessing
ALTERNANTHERA REINECKII 'LILACINA'
ALTERNANTHERA REINECKII 'ROSAEFOLIA'
LUDWIGIA INCLINATA VAR. VERTICILLATA 'CUBA'DIDIPLIS DIANDRA

but maybe their are some im missing, just throwing it out their to the plant guides
My recommendation would be a stem plant that grows with small leaves because that will give the impression of a larger tank (an example could be rotala rotundifolia).

Other thing you could do is to tie a large anubias to the driftwood and move it towards the tank wall to create a focal point

appreciate the feedback with the info on the rotala

i can't relaly do much else with the driftwood, it is 1/2 an inch from the top of the tank and touches front and back glass that tank is a 55g
