plant issues - missing nutrients?

My plants are showing these signs and I'm wondering what nutrients they are missing or getting too much of:
- dark veins, light leaves
- brown spots and then whole leaves turn brown, translucent then dissappear
- slow growth

I put in a liquid fertilizer that is supposed to go in monthly. I replenish when I do a water change (for the amount of water I took out).
I use excel flourish liquid carbon

Fertilising every month is really not very much. You are probably seeing a deficiencies in a lot of nutrients. I would start looking at more regular dosing regimes (low-tech EI or even the Seachem regime).
