That MIGHT be L. sessiflora (one i). Could also be L. indica, L. heterophylla or a few others. You just can't tell from submersed plants.

You can also call it a Federal Noxious Weed, illegal to bring into or through the U.S. or transport across state lines without a Federal permit. If it is L. sessiliflora, it will very quickly out-compete everything in your tank. I received a couple of stems as a freebie one time and loved the stuff ... until I really, really didn't.
