Either Vallisneria spiralis or Blyxa japonica...I can't really tell if the leaves have a natural twist to them.

Hi,I agree with some species of val. i have both blyxa and two types of vals. growing great with excel. The secret with vals and excel is to get them acclimated to it by using half doses for a couple weeks than slowly increasing to full strength.

It's the Blyxa. You reminded of what the lfs called it when selling it to me.

How long have you had them? Line crypts, they start melting once introduced to different conditions. Even shifting them to a different substrate in the same tank can cause melting but I can see new leaves on mine after about 10 days.

Probably been about a week and a half now. I'll wait a little longer to see if anything gets better.
