sword of some type, possibly a small red rubin with leaves that have not changed yet. is your set up low light??

It has been in low light for a while. About to plant it in a med-light tank and wanted to know if it needed a bright area or dimmer one. Fwiw Im pretty sure the bit of reddish coloration you see in the pic is brown algae. The plant is in sorta rough shape atm.

I would put it in high light, if it starts turning reddish then you have a red rubin sword.

it could also be a very small echinodorus Osiris...google it

Hmm, so apparently it gets quite a bit larger than I thought. That's actually great. I have the perfect place, pretty sure the lighting will be adequate. Thanks a lot for your help.

what do you believe it is?? the rubin or the osiris

After looking at dozens of pics of both, Im leaning towards it being a rubin. But it could very well be either one, probably wont know until it matures some.
