In my other thread(Venting Thread) I had mentioned that my bulb had died. I doubt I can get it any time sooner than the first(even than IDK) and here is my question. I have the following plants:

Sunset Hygro
Moneywort
Hydro Cotyle
Wendtii Crypt
Narrow Leaf Sag(Dwarf Sag)
Java Moss
Java Fern
Petite nana
Marimo Ball

Would they last in just plain sunlight?

They might actually, but not forever. Luckily all your plants should be able to tolerate lower light for a little bit. I think being in south cali helps. Another thing you could do is to get a desk lamp or some other lamp near the tank. I've used screw in florescent bulbs with success this way.

When it rains, it pours. Hang in there!

Your hygro and dwarf sag may or may not last the month. The hydrocotle might...if not, one or two runners and you're up again. Same with the hygro and sag, but they'll look real poor at least for a short while.

Screw-in or straight-tube fluorescent?

They're a few bucks each. The money you spend on replace those plants + shipping would probably be more than buying a bulb right now.
