I posted this tonight on my "worms" thread - but in case that's worn out & no one's looking, I'm making a new thread.
So. I bought a plant from a seller and it's being shipped tomorrow. I'd like to keep the plant because it looks cool, but since I've now learned what planaria looks like, I realize the pics of his tank are totally covered in tons of planaria. I mean, it looks like a blizzard. Can I put the plant in a concentrated dewormer solution & soak it for a few days, or use bleach (or both?)? Or should I toss the plant. The dang dewormer is so expensive, I don't want to keep treating my fish tank if you don't think I can kill the planaria prior to putting it in the tank. (the dewormer costs twice what the plant did! I have one packet left)
I figure I can start with a bleach dip (I don't know if it effects planaria), move onto the concentrated dewormer, and watch the plant for a few days. It's a bid sword, and I'll have to buy a container (bucket) that it'll fit in.
Whatya think? Waste of time/money/dewormer or not?
