Why don't you get clear plastic bobby/bun pins because I'm pretty sure that's what it is remarketed.

Another option is to superglue/ secure to small rocks, I've done this successfully a few times.

Forgot about this.. I have a bunch of Java fern on driftwood using superglue.
Would it work for utricularia? I'd need some stones to hold it down. I have sand.

It should work using small porous stones. I've done it with mosses with success.
