Hey fish people this is my pinwheel sword which is severely trimmed back due to a bba outbreak. But I was wondering about this shoot sprouting off. Is this how it propagates itself? Do I cut and replant this piece?
Yes that is one of the ways the plant propagates itself. You can either cut it off now and replant it, or wait until the plant gets bigger. The baby may actually throw out a baby of its own and so on if you leave it attached.
