Just got the fish yesyerday with the tank running for a week beforehand. Everyone seems to like their new home, the cories went to town on cleaning up. The cories tend to uproot the swords though, I hope they're planted properly (planted <1" in 3" of sand).

You can bury all the roots on those swords. They'll quickly grow a big enough root system that a hurricane wouldn't uproot them. Will you be adding more plants?
Thanks for the info on the swords. I plan on adding some pygmy chain swords up front and probably removing some of the swords if they get too large...hopefully :).

It's looking good. You can definitely bury the swords more to hide the roots and lessen the impact of the cories. Add a root tab or so underneath, and they'll grow out of your aquarium in short order.
