Since my rescape I can't seem get a reading of any phosphates in my tank. Nitrates are 10-20 right before a water change. I have never experienced this in the past year prior to the rescape.

Any thoughts?

Mix up a volume of known amount phosphate (1, 2 or 3ppm), test this to make sure your test kit is good.

If it's good, increase your dosage, test 2 hours later.
