I thought I read the dosage for PO4 was 1/8th TSP, 3 times a week, as opposed to 1/4 tsp. I run my phosphate in the 2-3 PPM range with 3-4 WPG. Good growth, and minimal algae.

Hey guys.. I use the EI dosing method..
one of the Dry Ferts that Im dosing is KH2Po4
1/4 of a tsp 3 days a week..
My tank is 75 gals and Im using Co2
My Phosphates are testing on the high end of the chart regularly..
i have some algae.. thread algae and a little bba on some of my slow growers
what would happen do you think, if I removed this from the rotation? Would I get enough P from the fish waste and stuff like that?
Thoughts?

Foster I'll double check but I thought I had it right for this size tank. I can always try reducing and see what happens

I found I needed to back off on phosphate but did not want to cut out potassium so added Pot sulfate to the ferts.

I also had to do the calibration check and found that my reading of the phosphate was way off. Test sets can do a job on us if they make us think we know what we are doing when we don't?
