Haha, that's actually just the aperture blades my man...Point and Shoot cameras tend to make that shape, especially at the smaller apertures...

you photo looks a little grainy what is your ISO set at? for sunsets and night photos i put my ISO at the lowest possible setting so the colors are smoother... for lack of a better word, though this does force you to use a slower shutter speed, so you'd need a steady hand, or a tripod... or to not be in a boat.

I knew someone was going to put the camera in question. This may be harder to believe, but in person, it did have a star like shape with 6 points. With sunglasses of course. the camera of course did make the shape a lot clearer.

Settings of camera: Auto. lol.

Nice photo, but if you took your sunglasses off, the sun would still be round .
