How much of a pH swing should I expect between night time (when my CO2 is off) and day time (when my CO2 is on)? I just set my system up and got it running, and I wanted to get an idea of how much of a change in pH is too much. Thanks!

mine goes from about 7.8 (drop checker blue) down to 6.5 - (drop checker green)

The only reason the pH drop would be too much is if you have too much CO2 for the fish to live with. So, you need to watch the fish to determine that.

I was interested in a number range, really. I plan to be home the next several days to watch the fish closely while the CO2 is on so that if something goes wrong I will have a chance to fix it before it gets too bad for the fishes. I was curious whether a drop in pH by, say, 1 point is OK but a drop of 2 points would be too much.

Mine goes from 6.4 during the day (CO2 on) to 7.2 at night (CO2 off). Everything seems OK fish and shrimps.
