Surely there must be some out there? Amazon reviews are rather inconsistent due to the wide range of desired applications so some feedback from hobbyists would be nice...

I think to get the most out of the cheap PH meters is to make sure you calibrate them properly.

If budget is not an issue then I suggest this:

I use this for setting my CO2 levels using the PH/KH chart and the TDS meter helps me determine if I over fertilize my tanks or for keeping hardness in check. Not cheap but quality testing equipment lets me determine and push the limits of my tanks.
