find some one with a liquid kit and see what it says. strips go bad fast and if there are more than one test on the strip it likes to give bad readings cause chemicals bleed in the water on the strip. it could be your didnt calibrate the meter right. only way to know is to keep testing and see if you get the same reading or really close several times with different water. how old is your substrate could it be leaching?
