Ph controller set-up

Hey

Just wondering how to set up the ph controller in regards to my ph. If my current ph is 6.7 at night when it's degassed, what should i set the controller for? If its set at 6.8 it will never turn on, how does this normally work?

I set mine based on my drop checker. Mine is currently set on 6.2 and that give me a lime green color.
