Anyone know if the side panels are typically tempered ?
the store employee I asked over the phone had no idea.
I’m tempted to go bring some polarized sun glasses and a laptop there as I just watched a video on how to tell. I’m hoping someone here knows and I don’t have to be that guy doing a tempered test in store hahaha I will though

Your going to have to be that guy. There are reports of some tanks from the same maker sometimes being tempered and sometimes not depending on what glass they had in when they were making tanks.

I'd contact the manufacturer or do the polarized sunglasses trick. I know in the past some of my previous aquariums had a sticker on the bottom that said tempered glass do not drill. In the two aquariums I drilled, the side wall was not tempered but I already knew that going into it. Not really helpful.

If it shatters, it will confirm it is tempered. 😅
