I have alot of pennywort in my tank and alot of the stems tend to melt where they are in the substrate while some do not. All other plants are fine. I do not know what is going on please someone help.
I think it could be from lack of light, especially since you mentioned from base. A lot of my plants loose bottom leaves because there is less light down there.
Agree probably lack of light. Pennywort does great as a floating plant also. You could take the ones that are melting and trim that part off and let it float for awhile and see if they do better. If they don't it might be a matter of nutrient.
I was wondering if maybe lack of light was the problem. The only thing I am confused about is why I have a lack of light with a 2 x 39 watt T5HO fixture on a 38gal. tank
