pearling question

I was wondering if your plants with pressurized co2 pearl on a daily basis? My were going crazy yesterday after I finally got everything with my co2 set up and added ferts and all, but today they don't seem to be doing much. Does this mean there aren't enough ferts in there now, or is this just normal like them adjusting to the conditions? It's a 55g tank with 2x55 ah supply with 2x9328K bulbs, and a 2x40w shoplight 6500k bulbs. My nitrates are around 10ppm when I tested them, so I added a little more KNO3 to bring it up around 15ppm. I also dose phosphates and plantex csm+b. My co2 levels should be around 30ppm because my drop checker is green.

My plants pearl everyday, but they don't start until a couple hours after the lights turn on. A fert deficiency would cause new growth to be stunted, but the plants would still be pearling if you have the light and CO2 in order. You may ought to check your CO2 system for leaks, etc. to make sure it's actually getting dissolved into the water.
Yup same here.My 55 has 4X55 AH supply and I have pearling every day.
They really start pearling when all lights are on.I run 2x55 for 2hours then all 4 kick in for 6 after that back to 2x55 for another hour.

I start my co2 2 hours before the lights and shut down 1 hour before lights off.

My dosing is based on EI with some altering.
I'm pretty sure there aren't any leaks in my system because when I close the tank valve the bubble counter continues to bubble for a long time. I did lower the amount of co2 though because my inline co2 reactor was making a trickling noise from a pocket of co2 basically. I turned it back up, so I'll see if thats the reason. About how many bps do you have for a 55g? Right now after I turned it up it's at 5bps. I don't know how other people calculate it but i just took a video and counted the bubbles in a 1 sec increment. It's pretty neat lol
Tough to say but I'm at about 3-4 bps
ok everything looks good again, I turned it down to 4bps for now because i think 5 was too much. Thanks for the help
I just realized my drop checker solution is actual 5dkh lol, so I'm at around 40ppm now. Fish look fine, and plants are going crazy now. I think I just needed to turn the co2 on earlier before the lights come on. It's now set to 2 hours before. My ph is around 6 though, is this too low?

This is the same way my 55g is set and it pearls everday. Don't worry about the ph.

Per to the question at hand, if your plants never seem to pearl,does that mean that they arent doing well? In my 55 gallon tanks, which are heavily planted, the growth is very good- I have Amazon Swords,hygros,Java moss and ferns,dwarf Rotala,hornwort,amania gracillis,which all do well, but never any pearling. My lighting is around 1.5 WPG.Should I change anything just to get pearling, or leave it alone since everything is fine? Also, I do a fair amount of trimming and re-planting. I LOVE THIS SITE!!!!!
Sounds like you could probably use a little more light and they would be pearling. That is assuming your running pressurized co2. I have 2.36 wpg.

I also thought my tank was doing fine when it wasn't pearling and maybe it was, but now that it is pearling the plants look even better than they did before. If you are running pressurized co2 you probably just have to tweak a few things to get to that point.

Re;

I dont run any type of CO2-just the twin tube hood,and liquid ferts.The plants are very colorful and vibrant-just no pearling. I really cant afford a fancy CO2 set up.Whats your take on the DIY CO2 systems? Thats something that would fit my budget!

Understood. Then I certainly would add any more light without co2. I am running a pressurized paintball co2 setup. This is where I got it:
