I want to pick up a group of pearl gouramis. Whats the best male to female ratio for these guy?

How big is your tank? 2:1 female:male should work.

I only have one, but I highly recommend them--truly beautiful fish and a great member of a community tank (if you have a community tank). And unlike some fish, its beauty increases with maturity and as it grows in size. So good choice!

I have heard the same 2:1 female:male ratio as well, but I have no personal experience.

And yes, how large is your tank? My fish is not particularly active--he mostly hangs out or swims around verrrrrry slowly unless it's feeding time--but he got BIG!

The tank they would go in would be my 75 gallon. They would sort of be acting as dither fish (a beautiful one) for my wide bar silver dollars. The tank also houses large ish polypterus.
