PAR meter rental?

Anyone know of a place that rents PAR meters. Would like to know what an LED array delivers, but buying one for occasional use doesn't seem to make sense.

Thanks

It doesn't say what the rental fee is. I am not sure I would trust a place with 500 bucks if they didn't state the fee up front.

I have no experience with them, but I am confused about the lack of a rental fee on the web site. I quickly scanned the forms and couldn't find anything about a fee.

Alternatively, i think you could get a Lux meter or a underwater data logger, but I haven't tested either.
those meters are expensive and any smart business would require a deposit equal to the cost of the item incase some one decides to keep it
I agree 100%. It makes sense to have a large deposit for something expensive.

I found the rates. I don't remember seeing these before.
A. Ten dollars a day B. Forty dollars a week C. One Hundred and Sixty dollars a month

I would bet. These would include days of shipping as well.

I would be cautious moving forward though. After you sign the contract, you are liable for the deposit should anything happen to the equipment. Also I would be certain to inspect the equipment on receiving the item. You may be liable if item is received in poor condition.

Does anyone have a review of the service or know of a review?
Oh yeah, also you may be able to join a local club. The one here in Sacramento has a PAR meter that can be used. Personally haven't used it but I am sure there is some sort of deposit required.

Our Sacramento club meter is owned by the group, being paid for by those of us who contributed to the cost, after it was purchased by Tom Barr. We owners don't have to make a deposit to borrow it. Those who don't want to kick in $25 or so to be a part owner might end up leaving a deposit. At $25 each it only takes 10-12 people to buy one.
NJ and the DC area, NYC etc should have enough folks to pool their resources together and share the cost.

Then share among the club membership.

Good reason to start and recruit members also, among the great many other reasons:proud:

Regards,
Tom Barr
Great idea. I've been hesitant to join up in group, but I can see how an association might make sense now. I'm not much of a meeting person (more of a doer), but I will shop around now.

Thanks :)
I'd buy one one day and put it up in S&S for a reduce price. :)
