Would a pair of kribs cichlids be OK in a 55gallon with rainbows and angelfish as there tank mates...

The kribs should be fine. The only problem might be if they spawn, at which point the parents will ban the angels, and most of the rest of the fish, to the portion of the tank away from the babies.

I've kept kribs and angels in same tank more than a few times without problems, especially in a tank as big as yours.
