Picked up some supplies today to try an outdoor pond project. I plan on growing dwarf sag out on my deck. Going to do a dirted pond capped with pool filter sand. I live in the mountains on North Carolina so I may wait a few weeks before setting it outside. The pond is about 2 feet in diameter and about 6 inches deep. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I plan on starting with ten individual plants and seeing how many I can harvest at the end of summer.

Questions:

Will 40 degree temp swings be too much for dwarf sag?
Will the water need agitation (air stone)?
How often should I do water changes?
Anyone else try a project like this?
Are there any other foreground plants that can I could try?
