Hello,

I am planning on purchasing some Otocinclus catfish and I'm setting up a quarantine tank for them.

My concern is that my usual hospital tank is only 16L (4 gallons). Would this be large enough to house 10 catfish for 4 weeks? Or do I need to set up a bigger tank?

TIA

(Ps. I have previously used a large plastic tub for quarantine, but it is very difficult to see the fish in that setup and I'm worried about missing subtle signs of disease in the little catfish).

I use a 10 gal qt tank and it is easier to dose meds . Most meds call for so much for every 10 gallons . I think 10 Otos in a 4 gal is pushing it . You can do it but you will need to stay on top of water quality .
