osmocote question

can I use
"Osmocote Smart-Release Outdoor and Indoor Plant Food" as a fert? I cant find much else for osmocote locally. and finding straight dry ferts for making my own for ei dosing is not going to happen no one carries the stuff I need locally.

You most certainly can.
Just keep it under the substrate so it stays slow release.
You can fill gelatin capsules which are available on line or many health food stores, or freeze the Osmocote into ice cubes.

Thanks I was pretty sure I could, I jsut wanted to double check. since its not the plus type I guess I still have to dose micros seperatly.

you must be a really patient person!!!!

I am probably going to use the icecube method. unless I can figure out a direct inject method (thinking a little water and a turkey baster) but probably topsoil and osmocote, frozen. it'll help m,e replace diminished topsoil as it break down too.
