Osmocote Balls
So whilst searching through and reading the forum, I read the below:
I have stopped using Osmocote, since I don't have anything planted in the substrate (all ferns and moss at the moment) so I assume the things will eventually go away?
And I thought "OMG YES I am not alone!" I have the same problem. I haaaate those little balls. I think I get rid of some during tank maintenance time, and the next day I swear the damn things reproduce.The only problem I have with Osmocote+ is those little yellow balls that contain the ferts will eventually end up all over the top of your substrate.

They last a LONG time in nursery containers.
Keep on removing them as fast as they show up.
